set-aws-config-source-configuration

Sets the configuration for the AWS Secrets configuration source.

Synopsis

asadmin [asadmin-options] set-aws-config-source-configuration [--help]
[--regionname=regionname]
[--secretname=secretname]
[--target=server]
[--dynamic={false|true}]
[--enabled={true|false}]

Description

The set-aws-config-source-configuration provides configuration options for the config source which fetches data from AWS Secrets Manager. Make sure that the password aliases AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID and AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY are registered first.

Options

asadmin-options

Options for the asadmin utility. For information about these options, see the asadmin help page.

--help
-?

Displays the help text for the subcommand.

--regionname

The region name of the AWS Secrets service.

--secretname

The name of the secret to fetch as a map of properties.

--target

Specifies the target where the configuration source resides.
Valid values are as follows:

server

Specifies the DAS (default).

instance-name

Specifies a Payara Server instance.

cluster-name

Specifies a cluster.

configuration-name

Specifies a named configuration.

--dynamic

Configure the config source dynamically, which will not require a restart.

--enabled

Enables or disables the config source, which fetches data from AWS Secrets Manager

Example 1 Setting the configuration of the AWS secrets

This example configures the AWS Secrets Cloud Config Source.

asadmin set-aws-config-source-configuration --dynamic true --enabled true --secretName payara/test/key --regionName eu-west-2
